- i. David James FORREST, born on 4th April 1842 and baptised on 13th May 1842 at St Cuthbert's, Edinburgh[3]
On 3rd Jun 1851 in St Cuthbert's, Edinburgh, John married secondly, Elizabeth Broomfield DUNCAN[4]. They had issue:
- ii. William Duncan FORREST, born on 16th April 1852 and baptised on 18th May 1842 at St Cuthbert's, Edinburgh[5]
- iii. Sylvester Helen FORREST, born on 4th April 1842 and baptised on 27th June 1853 at St Cuthbert's, Edinburgh[6]
